Finally got around to updating the store map for my prototype and just in time for user testing. I color coded all of the departments to hopefully make it easier for the user to identify which department they are in.

Instructions:

You work for Farmer’s Food Market and are new to this store location. Walking back to your department a customer approaches you and asks, “do you carry rolled oats, if so which aisle they are on?” You are new and not sure if the store carries this product, you consult Gather to answer the customer question.

 

Goals:

• create mockups for search, search results, and product pages
• continue modify CMS prototype to look more like new mockups
• create online prototype of mockups
• conduct user testing of prototypes

Issues covered/Response from advisor:

• make each page smarter, update to the page/task at hand
• need to catch up on work missed due to wedding/honeymoon

Goals for next week:

• gather results from user testing of both prototypes
• continue to catch up on missed work

• create initial mockups
• modify CMS prototype to look more like new mockups
• visual competitive analysis

Issues covered/Response from advisor:

• storyboard sequence plan looks good but need to add more tasks and continue to refine
• try different page layouts and page transitions to refine my wireframes/mockups

• create walkthrough mockup of new mockups
• add/edit mockups based on feedback
• catch up on any missed work/assignments

This is round one of my wireframes. Feedback included making the navigation bar at the bottom and making it content aware.
